The first year students of DUT Packaging completed Saturday, April 4th an intense week of “design creation”. They participate in a global competition launched by a collaborative innovation platform (nimblebee.com). The challenges come from two major brands (a brewer and a multinational company specialized in consumer goods). The students, supervised by three professional designers involved at the IUT de Chambéry (Vincent Rouillot of Noémi agency, Mark Robson freelance designer and Florian Traille designer at Salomon) had to imagine new packaging for the bottles and new laundry packs. The students used the collaborative digital platform to exchange ideas, first sketches and inspirations on the project, enriching their creation.
Both universes have particularly inspired the French students, who face other university teams from HongKong, Taiwan, Poland, Spain, Mexique and Belgium. In May, the best teams, which will be selected by the company, will realize their model and deploy their concepts to real consumers.
